Ada Whitlock
Creative Director
Shapes the voice of every page we print, from the first pencil sketch on newsprint to the final proof on press. Runs the Monday crit, keeps the archive in order and still answers every letter by hand. Her desk is the only one in the studio with a window, and she gives it away every winter.

Bram Okafor
Type Designer
Draws letters for headlines that refuse to shout. His last family took four winters, eleven weights and one very patient editor. Teaches lettering on Thursdays and collects old wood type from closing print shops. Most of it now lives in drawers under the studio stairs, sorted by size and smell.

Clara Ines
Photographer
Finds the quiet light in crowded rooms, and waits as long as it takes for the one frame that tells the whole story. Shoots on film for every cover, and keeps a contact sheet of each assignment pinned above her desk. Her favourite lens is older than the studio, and she will not let anyone else clean it.

Dmitri Hale
Copy Editor
Cuts every sentence until only the true part remains, then reads it aloud once more before it goes to print. Keeps the house style guide, settles every comma dispute and has never once missed a press date. Reads poetry at lunch to rest his eyes, and keeps a red pencil in every coat pocket he owns.

Elsie Moreau
Producer
Keeps the presses running and the deadlines honest, with a wall calendar, a sharp pencil and a very calm voice. Books the paper, the ink and the couriers, and knows every printer in the city by their first name. On launch nights she is the last one out, switching off the lights one room at a time.
